Very Sweet

Very sweet. Reasonably good classic orange soda. Not much bitterness, but does have some around the edges. Finish is long but fine. Ok. Purchased at FYE Maplewood Mall

Very sweet. The label says "vanilla", but that's not what I'm tasting. Fairly acidic, almost citrus-like but never really resolves into much beyond "sweet". Maybe "vaguely flavored" is the best description? I suspect the use of the word vanilla on the labelling should have been …

Very sweet. Light, bright, and citrusy. A bit more lemon than lime, for all that it's mostly a pretty good generic citrus soda. Closer to 7-Up than to Sprite. Decent finish. Ok. Purchased at FYE Maplewood Mall

Very sweet. Surprisingly, a very good example of a classic orange soda. Checking the packaging, the white label provider appears to be My Private Label who pretty clearly know how to make a good soda. Clean orange flavor from start to medium long finish. Good cane sugar ensures that finish is pretty clean. Surprisingly …

Very sweet. Candy start obscures any actual flavor until maple finally shows up in the middle and hangs in just through the beginning of the finish. Butter does appear but is generally elusive. Mostly this just tastes like medium grade sugar. Ok. Purchased from Blue Sun Soda Shop (Spring Lake Park)

Very sweet. While present, the usual wintergreen and other flavors from the root beer are quite muted and hard to discern over the fairly strong vanilla flavors along with a little bit of burnt sugar and caramel. More caramel into the medium length finish. Fairly nice as a vanilla cream soda. Dissappointing as a root …

Very sweet. Kind of an interesting blend between a lemon-lime and strawberry soda. Neither side really takes precedence but neither do they quite blend fully either. Would probably be better with 1/2 the sugar. Oddly long citrus-like finish. Ok. Purchased from Blue Sun Soda Shop (Spring Lake Park)

Very sweet. I really did not know what to expect from this one. The likely outcome of course was that it was going to be terrible in some very creative way, but to my somewhat incredible surprise this is actually kind of good. Picture in your mind the flavor of a rich Maytag or Stilton and strip away the creamy parts …

Very sweet. Starts with sharp lemon and pretty quickly gains nice raspberry. The sweetener blend appears fairly quickly afterward, seeping in slowly at first and eventually resolving to an ever present candy presence in the mouth. The main flavors fade fairly quickly in the finish, but the sweetener blend lingers. The …

Very sweet. Mostly a fairly classic vanilla cream soda but with a tiny bit of caramel for a slight burnt sugar flavor along with faint hints of coconut. Ok. Purchased from Blue Sun Soda Shop (Spring Lake Park)

Very sweet. I'm generally a big fan of sangria in it's many forms. It varies so much depending on so many factors it can be hard to pin down what specifically makes a good sangria, but to me it has to start with good wine and good fruit. So far it's been rare to get a really good example in a soda, but it has happened. …

Very sweet. Even from the scent you can tell they went hard on the butter flavor and taking a sip brings that sharply into focus. The peach comes through under a blanket of the butter eventually, maybe not muffled, but certainly well wrapped. Probably one of the better implementations of artificial butter flavor in a …

Very sweet. Non-specific citrus with elements of lemon, lime, and a little grapefruit. Slightly buttery. Lingering finish is fine. Ok. Purchased from Noll Hardware

Very sweet. Candied slightly-generic berry flavor is pretty straight forward and unambiguious. Has just a touch of depth in the middle with a hint of black pepper. Narrowly avoids being syrupy but also steers well clear of any semblence of actual fruit. Surprisingly good and relatively short finish. Very close to being …

Very sweet. I can see what they were going for, I just don't think they got there. Near the finish you catch a solid glimpse of the classic orange soda base but everything prior to that is kind of a muddled mess. There are flashes of peach and flashes of orange but mostly it comes across as fruit-like sweetness rather …

Very sweet. Labelled as a passionfruit, orange, and guava flavored soda I can see what they were going for and in the usual way they are not subtle about their flavors. I won't swear by this since it has been at least a couple of decades since I've tasted it, but from what I remember this is at least strongly …

Very sweet. Classic artificial strawberry start then adds a fair bit of pucker from the "rhubarb" while lacking in any additional flavor from that purported ingredient. Lacks depth. Ok. Purchased from Blue Sun Soda Shop (Spring Lake Park)

Very sweet. From the label I had been expecting something closer to Ting or Squirt but the actual flavor contains a lot more lemon/lime than grapefruit. Very round, but not quite syrupy, mouthfeel. I think the most accurate description might be "Sprite + Grapefruit" and the addition does add quite a bit to …

Very Sweet. Candy-like start quickly develops depths of wintergreen and molasses along with other ephemera. The candy start returns near the end and haunts the extended finish. Definitely a different flavor profile from their standard root beer. Ok. Purchased at the Saint Paul Midway Menard's.

Very sweet. More fruit than cola from start to finish. The mango sits somewhere in the uncanny valley: Nearly authentic, but artificial enough to be occasionally jarring. The cola is present if you search for it carefully, but overall is more like a lost opportunity for a much more interesting soda. Ok. Purchased from …

Very sweet. Fascinating nose. A waft smells like typical Mountain Dew while a sniff smells like gingerbread. The flavor has a similar dichotomy with a clear, and fairly decent, gingerbread cookie flavor followed with the classic Mountain Dew finish. Altogether somewhat unexpected, certainly an odd combination, and not …

Very sweet. Definitely an improvement on a memorably bad similar soda. Very much like liquid Red Hots candy but with a slightly better finish and slightly less fire. Early sips can sometimes show the flavor as a thinner veneer than others, but the whole is well done. Ok. Similar to some of Real Soda's other lines, the …

Very sweet. This soda should be named "BUTTERSCOTCH!" instead of aluding to any kind of caramel as the only flavor profile you get from the start to the lingering, slightly unsatisfiying, finish is just that: rich butterscotch with possibly a hint of candy rum flavor. Comes across as both complicated and also …

Very sweet. Basil infused industrial strength cherry cough-syrup. Yuck. No really, this is really bad. Pass. Purchased from Blue Sun Soda Shop (Spring Lake Park)

Very sweet. A jumbled early start that eventually sees vanilla presents a solid base. Coconut builds on that base shortly after and rides through a nearly buttery middle and well into a very long, satisfying finish. While there is some body it still comes off feeling very slightly thin. Recommended Purchased from Blue …

Very sweet. The label proudly announces that this beverage "Fights Scurvy!", but unfortunately does not also warn that it fights taste buds just as well and it is not above fighting dirty. Orange, guarana, wintergreen, clove, anise, and vanilla make for exceedingly unruly shipmates from terrible start to …

Very sweet. Somewhere between a cola and a cream soda. A solid and lightly tangy cola core is enveloped by deep and rich dark sugars with echoes of both tea and tamarind. Chocolate finish. Ok Purchased from Blue Sun Soda Shop (Spring Lake Park)

Very sweet. Intense sugar start with strong artificial raspberry. Hints of herbal tones in the middle. Surprisingly short and clean finish. Ok. Purchased from Blue Sun Soda Shop (Spring Lake Park)
