There is a particular experience I remember the first time I went to a convenience store as a child and somehow got to try a blue rasberry ICEE. There was a trick you learned if you wanted it to last about making sure the straw was not at the bottom of the cup, but a little above the bottom so you didn't get all syrup. This soda is exactly like pushing the straw at the way down or, maybe closer, foregoing the ice altogether and just drinking the syrup straight.
